Cub Resident Camp - for
current Tiger and Wolf Cub Scouts
Cub
Scout Resident Camp is one of the fastest-growing programs offered at Camp
Tuckahoe. Cub Scout Resident Camp is three days and two nights in length
and is designed to introduce our youngest campers to a variety of outdoor
skills and to have fun at camp. Boys will complete requirements that will
qualify them for rank advancements and pack leaders will receive a report
from the camp to assist them in tracking each boy's advancements.
Cub Scouts attend camp with their pack or den
and many parents attend camp with their son. Check in for Cub Resident Camp
is at 2 PM on arrival day and check out is after the evening closing
campfire your third day at Tuckahoe.
Dates Offered:
-
Session #1 - June 22-24, 2008
-
Session #2 - June 26-28, 2008
-
Session #3 - August 17-19, 2008
Fees:
Deposit:
-
Campsite Deposit - packs make a $100
campsite deposit at the time your pack makes its reservation. All
pack deposits are non-refundable. Your pack's campsite deposit
is applied to your camping fees or can be "rolled over" for 2009.
SPECIAL NOTICE - The number of paid
individual Scout deposits submitted to the Council Service Center by
April 1, 2008 will be used in allocating campsite space. If a
pack wishes to have exclusive use of any campsite at camp, we must
receive paid deposits for 95% of the campsite's capacity. The camp
reserves the right to move units to different campsites if the pack
does not make deposit payments for 95% of the site's capacity.
-
For Individual Campers Attending With
Their Pack - $25 (non-refundable) per boy by April 1,
2008. Each Cub Scout submitting their deposit on-time receives a
special, limited edition patch not available for sale during the summer.
This is the only way to obtain this limited-run, one-per-person
collector's item. The number of paid deposits is also used to
allocate campsite space for your pack.
Webelos
Resident Camp - for current Bear and Webelos I Cub Scouts
Webelos Resident camp is the next step in a
Cub Scout's camping career and lasts five days and four nights. Campers
arrive at 2 PM on check in date and depart after the evening closing campfire on
the last day. Advancements at Webelos Resident Camp includes outdoor-related
activity badges and special activities for second-year Webelos are also
planned. As with Cub Resident Camp, the pack's leaders will receive an
advancement report from the camp to assist them with tracking each boy's
advancements. Parents are also encouraged to camp with their sons for
Webelos Resident Camp.

Webelos Weekend - for current Bear and Webelos I
Cub Scouts
Webelos
Weekend is open to all current Bear Cub and Webelos I Cub Scouts, including
their leaders and parents. As with Webelos Resident Camp, boys attend camp
with their pack or den. Campers arrive at camp between 6-8 PM on Friday
evening and depart on Sunday morning after breakfast. While Webelos Weekend
serves the same age group as does Webelos Resident, there is obviously no
way to compress a five-day summer camp experience (that boys attending
Webelos Resident Camp experience) into just a little over one day at Webelos
Weekend.
Webelos Weekend provides boys with an
opportunity to work on one activity badge, in addition to visiting other
camp program areas. Webelos Weekend is ideal for those boys and families
who cannot attend a Webelos Resident Camp program, but still want to spend
time at Camp Tuckahoe.
