Cub Scout Halloween Days
2003 Cub Scout Halloween
Days Sets New Attendance Record
The "Magic on the
Mountain" Cub Scout Halloween Days programs were once-again a huge
hit with York-Adams Area Council packs. A record-setting 783 Cub
Scouts, accompanied by 755 adults, descended on Camp Tuckahoe for over
two exciting weekends, with each day's activities capped off by a
thrilling walk through a spooky, haunted Cub World.
Many thanks to Pat Lehr, who once again
served as council chair for this event, and the outstanding team of
volunteers (both adult and Scouts) who worked so hard to make these two
weekends a smashing success. It takes many dozens of volunteers to
make Halloween Days happen and we are so grateful for their interest and
participation in staffing this event. Our council has developed a
national reputation for these two outstanding weekends - thanks to the
hard work of the many volunteers and Scouts who work on these events and
to our pack leaders who promote and organize these weekends for their
pack's Cub Scouts.
The 2004 edition of Cub Scout Halloween
Days will be held October 16 and 23, so if you missed out on the 2003
event, be ready to make your reservations early to avoid being shut out.
